Here we have for sale a beautiful and ultra (!) rare:
IWC Schaffhausen Portuguese-style watch from 1949. Look at the pictures. This watch looks exactly like the original Portuguese ref. 325: exactly the same type of dial and "feuille de sauge" hands and the subsecond at 6. Exactly the same 3-part case incl. the typical holes for the spring bars. The movement and case numbers date it back to 1949. The case measures a nice 35mm (w/o the crown) which is rather large for that time.
This watch has just been completely restored by a Swiss master watchmaker and ex IWC staff member (movement service, case polish, new original IWC crown). The dial was restored by Causemann in Germany (one of the top specialists in Europe for this type of work). The hands and crystal are original. The work done was worth ~1000 CHF (papers available).
The watch comes on an unsused, brown, original IWC croco strap (please look at the old logo on the strap) and a rare, old, original IWC 16mm steel buckle (which is in great nick, look at the hallmark on the buckle). The paperwork of the restauration work just completed is included in the delivery, too. Another highlight of this watch is the original box from the 40ties (see pictures). Look at the very old logo on the box and the great shape it is in.
Please note that this watch is ultra rare as not many watches with this case size that look exactly like the ref. 325 were produced back then. Also, the cal. 88 with Incabloc is rather rare and the original box is definitely a true gem.
